Dr. Kern Kohler grew up in Verndale, Minnesota. She graduated from Verndale High School in 2010. She then attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota as a chemistry major. During college, she completed two summers of research in chemistry at SDSU. Upon graduating early in 2013, Dr. Kern attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where she met her husband, Dan.


Dr. Kern is passionate about treating the underserved and has spent the last three years in public health settings in South Dakota. She currently practices part time at Southeastern Dental Center and devotes the rest of her time to practicing at Falls Community Health. She has extensive knowledge and experience in oral surgery and pediatric dentistry. 


She lives in Sioux Falls with her husband and their two dogs, Winston and Frank. In her free time, Dr. Kern enjoys running, spending time with her family, and traveling. She has completed several half marathons and 10 mile races over the past few years. 


Dr. Kern enjoys treating patients of all backgrounds and ages. She believes everyone deserves quality and comprehensive care that is tailored to their individual motivations and needs.
