MELISSA GIBSON D.D.S.
Dr. Gibson grew up in Pierre, SD, and graduated from T. F. Riggs High School. She then attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln for her undergraduate degree, before earning her dental degree from The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in 2006. She started practicing at a dental office in Harrisburg, SD working full-time for seven years. Dr. Gibson then decided that part-time would be a better fit for her family, in 2013 she joined her long-time friend Dr. Goede at Southeastern Dental Center.
Dr. Gibson is an active member of the American Dental Association and the South Dakota Dental Association. She serves as a board member for the South Dakota Dental Foundation and volunteers her time with the Donated Dental Services organization and the Sioux Empire Smiles yearly free dental clinic. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and especially enjoys being able to go into preschool classrooms to teach kids about the importance of good dental health.
Dr. Gibson and her husband Scott, have two girls; Evelyn and Mae. They also have two furry babies, Lilly and Biscuit. The Gibson family in their spare time enjoys being at the lake and golfing together. When Dr. Gibson is not in the office she spends time at the girls’ school, teaching Sunday school and keeping the girls busy with activities.
Our new location and larger space has given Dr. Gibson the ability to work a few more days each week and she is enjoying working on the same days as Dr. Goede!
